Duara is a sustainable innovation project founded with the aim of harnessing collective talent to drive collaborative, circular initiatives that are in harmony with the environment.

Behind Duara are Anne del Moral and Olatz Martija, two entrepreneurs passionate about team-based project management, with the aim of making a positive impact and continuing to grow steadily.

This project emerged in response to a key challenge: overproduction in the textile industry, where far more is manufactured than is actually consumed, generating a huge amount of waste.

Today, Duara is broadening its focus beyond the textile sector and structuring its work around three strands centred on social awareness, experiential learning and empowering people as agents of change. Through these, we foster connections between local stakeholders and community engagement, developing projects with a positive impact.

SOMOS DUARA

This project has been launched in response to a key challenge: overproduction in the textile industry, where far more is manufactured than is actually consumed, generating a huge amount of waste.

Today, Duara is broadening its focus beyond the textile sector.

It organises its work into three areas of focus centred on social awareness, experiential learning and empowering people as agents of change. Through these, we foster connections between local stakeholders and community engagement, developing projects that have a positive impact.

Technical team

Duara has been building a network of local experts for over three years. We currently work with professionals in the fields of sewing, garment making and fashion, approaching these areas from a sustainable perspective that focuses on resource efficiency and circularity. We also collaborate with experts in biomaterials, who are exploring how to transform materials considered waste into new functional, useful, biodegradable and natural materials.

In addition, we have a network of entrepreneurs from various disciplines, who act as role models, sources of inspiration and mentors within the projects we develop.
